Chrishaven provides community based living environments in modern duplexes located within the area of beautiful La Crosse and Onalaska, Wisconsin. Residents learn and practice skills to foster independent living, enhance social skills, and become active participants in their community. 
 

The Homes
 

Chrishaven is a non-profit corporation with a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community members. Chrishaven currently operates assisted living facilities in homes, under two distinct licensing categories offered by the Wisconsin Department of Health & Family Services:
 

• Adult Family Homes
  (AFH - Adults / up to 4 bed facilities)
   
• Community Based Residential Facilities
  (CBRF - Adults / 5-8 bed facilities)

Enrollment Criteria
 

Chrishaven serves individuals with diagnoses that include cognitive disabilities such as developmental disorders and TBI. Our clientele exhibit a wide range of emotional, social and behavioral functioning which is reflected in the highly individualized supports developed for each person. 

• Age Range from 18 through later adulthood
   
• Intellectual functioning from mild to severe cognitive disabilities
   
• Individual diagnoses may include:

Traumatic Brain Injury
